If I had to choose a single word to describe photographing the sun it would be "Frustrating".  The time it takes to plan the shoot, study the charts, the weather, location and visualizing the shot... the weather again, travel the distance when most logical people are sleeping. Get there hours early to get setup feeling excited about the scenery that is about to unfold before you. Patiently waiting for the sun to start it's show... only to find out the clouds are wrong and the colors didn't show up.  Frustration.  However, when all the element fall into place and you witness Earth glow across an amazing landscape the only word that could possibly come to mind is Serenity.
